Email me.

Unless I state otherwise, you can assume I received a free sample of the products that I review on this blog and, sometimes I also receive a gift certificate in exchange for writing an honest review. I've also begun writing sponsored posts here from time to time, but only for products that I personally believe in and endorse. Since I only agree to review those products I think I'll like, you'll find that most of these reviews are positive. I will, however, be honest regarding my opinions on reviews I choose to write, whether they are good or bad. Pinky swear.

I offer quite a few giveaways on this site, but if you win, your prize will be sent from the company offering it, not from my home. Consequently, I am not responsible for PR reps who mail your prize 4 months late (which happened once) or never mail it at all (which hasn't happened yet, fingers crossed).

Two lovely stepdaughters,

One chatty daughter, 7.

One adventurous 4-year-old son.

Our Backyard Discovery Playset Keeps the Kids Entertained During Our World Cup Party!

On Sunday afternoon, like hundreds of millions of others around the globe, my family was glued to the television screen for this:

THE FINAL WORLD CUP GAME!

We had friends over for my special cheeseburgers, hotdogs, corn and avocado salad, chips, and cheesecake (provided by our lovely guests). And we adults were very, very lucky-- We were able to enjoy the game inside only because of one very important item outside.

Our awesome playset from Backyard Discovery!

If you didn't already know, I'm a Brand Ambassador for Backyard Discovery, the playset maker responsible for playsets carried both at its site and at Walmart.com. We've been (permanently, don't worry!) testing out this Atlantis Playset and after a month and a half, it continues to be the hit of the cul-de-sac.

Several times a day, I'll look out my window and see plenty of this...

And this...

And this...

And maybe a little bit of this (Punky's wearing her sad face after having to cycle off the 2-person glider swing, which is hands down the most popular feature of our playset).

The fact that all the kids play here is a big deal because they all have very nice playsets of their own- I think it's really saying something that they choose to come here and play on ours even though they have their pick of three different playsets!

Basically, now that we've had our playset for much of the summer, I can safely say that I would have been more than satisfied with our investment if we had bought it. It has withstood the test of time, my kids play with it even more than I would have expected (at least three times a day, EVERY SINGLE DAY), and they're continually finding new uses for it, whether they're running a store out of the lower deck (that was yesterday) or taking shelter in the clubhouse during a summer rain and pretending they're in the jungle (that was two days ago).

Oh, the summer memories this playset is creating!

Disclosure: As a Backyard Discovery Brand Ambassador, I received a playset to write honestly about and items to aid us in throwing a summer party for our friends. I am not paid to write these posts.
