Email me.

Unless I state otherwise, you can assume I received a free sample of the products that I review on this blog and, sometimes I also receive a gift certificate in exchange for writing an honest review. I've also begun writing sponsored posts here from time to time, but only for products that I personally believe in and endorse. Since I only agree to review those products I think I'll like, you'll find that most of these reviews are positive. I will, however, be honest regarding my opinions on reviews I choose to write, whether they are good or bad. Pinky swear.

I offer quite a few giveaways on this site, but if you win, your prize will be sent from the company offering it, not from my home. Consequently, I am not responsible for PR reps who mail your prize 4 months late (which happened once) or never mail it at all (which hasn't happened yet, fingers crossed).

How to Be an Incredibly Popular Soccer Team Mom (and a Giveaway!)

It's a warm spring day. Twenty high school girls have taken to the soccer field in a head-to-head (er, foot-to-foot) challenge to determine which school has the better team.

What gives our girls in green the winning edge?

Why, the promise of Einstein Bros. bagels and muffins, of course! The bagel makers provided us with snacks for our team and when I delivered them, the girls literally squealed with excitement.

I consider myself to be a bagel and muffin connoisseur and we certainly have plenty of options to choose from here in Nashville. I knew Einstein Bros. bagels and muffins would be good. I was not prepared for them to be AWESOME.

And judging from how quickly they disappeared after the game, I think the team agreed with me.

Of course, I couldn't leave the littles out. I kept them quiet with the promise of first choice from the box after the game was over. They chose a chocolate muffin to split. Are you surprised?

Yum.

Einstein Bros. doesn't just have bagels and muffins. They also have delicious sandwiches (my husband and I had one when we picked up our team's order), cookies, and these amazing, sweet cream cheese-stuffed bagel poppers that my kids ate faster than you can say "lox." Yeah. They have lox, too. Mmmmmm....

If you live here in Nashville, you may be surprised to know that there's an Einstein Bros. cafe in the new Vanderbilt clinic at 100 Oaks Mall. Just go in through the main entrance and you'll see it at the top of the escalator. It is DEFINITELY worth a visit if you're in the area. And the staff couldn't be nicer.

If you live elsewhere, use this handy dandy store locator to find the Einstein Bros. nearest you.

And now... the moment you've all been waiting for... A chance to win a $1,000 gift card, which you can spend on anything you like!!!!! Or a $25 Einstein Bros. gift card, which isn't bad, either eh?

All you have to do to enter is leave a comment on Divine Caroline's Coffee and a Bagel site. It's super easy and your chances of winning are pretty darn good, all things considered.

Leave me a comment on this post between now and Sunday, April 25th letting me know you entered the $1,000 contest, and one of you will win a $25 Einstein Bros. gift card, just for playing! Be sure to include your e-mail address in the comment so that I can contact you if you've won.

Good luck!

Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel Out Now on DVD!

Out now on Blu-Ray and standard DVD, Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel!

My son in particular had been begging me to see this movie ever since it came out in theaters, so when we received a Blu-Ray copy of our own, he was THRILLED. And it's now on heavy rotation each day when I wait for my daughter in the car rider pick-up line. It's a cute movie that you can enjoy with your kids and if your child likes the chipmunks as much as mine do, he or she will LOVE this movie.

Here's a brief synopsis from the studio:

A follow-up to 2007’s Alvin and the Chipmunks, Chipmunk singing sensations Alvin, Simon and Theodore are back for an encore in this hilarious “squeakquel” packed with over an hour more of music. The Squeak-Along bonus content includes new sing-alongs such as Beyonce’s “Single Ladies,” teaches audiences how to dance like the Chipmunks with the “Shake Your Groove Thing” dance instructional video, games and more nutty fun for the whole family!

When a concert mishap lands Dave in the hospital, the Chipmunks take a break from superstardom and enroll in school to fit in with kids their age. But they soon face some stiff competition when they meet the Chipettes — a beautiful, talented trio of chipmunks discovered by Ian, the boys’ evil ex-manager!

Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel is available now on Amazon.com for just $22.99 on Blu-Ray (which also includes a standard DVD and digital copy) or $22.99 for the special 2-disc edition.
