Email me.

Unless I state otherwise, you can assume I received a free sample of the products that I review on this blog and, sometimes I also receive a gift certificate in exchange for writing an honest review. I've also begun writing sponsored posts here from time to time, but only for products that I personally believe in and endorse. Since I only agree to review those products I think I'll like, you'll find that most of these reviews are positive. I will, however, be honest regarding my opinions on reviews I choose to write, whether they are good or bad. Pinky swear.

I offer quite a few giveaways on this site, but if you win, your prize will be sent from the company offering it, not from my home. Consequently, I am not responsible for PR reps who mail your prize 4 months late (which happened once) or never mail it at all (which hasn't happened yet, fingers crossed).

Two lovely stepdaughters,

One chatty daughter, 7.

One adventurous 4-year-old son.

One talented husband.

Last Minute Super Bowl Food Ideas

Maybe you're hosting a Super Bowl get together this Sunday. Or maybe, like me, you're going to one and have been asked to bring an appetizer. Well, forget about ordering a catered tray or slaving away on your own in the kitchen...

Hormel has these cool party trays available in your local supermarket!

Hormel offers this Heat and Serve Party ring, which you just heat and serve, just like it says!

Or you can try this yummy Antipasto Party Platter, which includes pepperoni, salami, two kinds of cheeses and crackers. I got to try this platter and it was AWESOME, particularly since I'm on a low-carb diet and this tray completely fit the bill for me.

Best of all, take off the top and no one will know it wasn't catered! Pretty cool idea, huh?

Amelia

I just finished watching Amelia. My thoughts?

It's a great movie for an afternoon when you want to curl up on the sofa and lose yourself in an important moment in women's history.

It's not the best movie ever made by any means, but seriously, when Hilary Swank, Richard Gere, and Ewan McGregor all are in a film, can you really go wrong? I really enjoyed learning the story of Amelia Earhart, and Swank clearly went to great (and at times annoying) lengths to represent Earhart as authentically as possible.

Amelia is available on DVD and Blu-Ray. It's going for $19.49 right now on Amazon if you're interested in ordering a copy for yourself.
