Unless I state otherwise, you can assume I received a free sample of the products that I review on this blog and, sometimes I also receive a gift certificate in exchange for writing an honest review. I've also begun writing sponsored posts here from time to time, but only for products that I personally believe in and endorse. Since I only agree to review those products I think I'll like, you'll find that most of these reviews are positive. I will, however, be honest regarding my opinions on reviews I choose to write, whether they are good or bad. Pinky swear.

I offer quite a few giveaways on this site, but if you win, your prize will be sent from the company offering it, not from my home. Consequently, I am not responsible for PR reps who mail your prize 4 months late (which happened once) or never mail it at all (which hasn't happened yet, fingers crossed).

Holiday Gift Guide: Hickory Farms Gift Box Giveaway!

Several years ago, my husband and I went into a Hickory Farms store and got to sample some Hickory Farms cheeses, sausages, and spreads. I've been sending out Hickory Farms gift boxes and baskets to friends and family members ever since.

I love Hickory Farms not only because the food tastes good, but because there's a Hickory Farms gift to fit every budget- and really, you can't go wrong with a gift of food over the holidays. Pretty much everyone loves receiving sausages, cheeses, crackers and candies to snack on.

That's why I'm happy to be a Hickory Farms brand ambassador for Mom Central- I've been a loyal Hickory Farms customer for years. And actually, as I write this review, I'm snacking on Hickory Farms cheese! Hey, it's Atkins friendly!

In particular, check out this Party Planner Gift Box, one Hickory Farms package I received this holiday season. It is absolutely loaded with food, including four different kinds of cheeses, three different sausages, the most delicious crackers maybe ever, and two different yummy specialty mustards. All this is $40, which is a great price as far as I'm concerned. Better yet, for every Party Planner Gift Box sold, Hickory Farms will donate $5 to Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry Campaign, a national nonprofit that is ending childhood hunger in America!

There are lots more gift boxes and baskets to choose from at Hickory Farms, ranging in price from $15 to $120. Check them out at the Hickory Farms website and know that I've ordered from this site countless times and the recipients of my Hickory Farms gifts have always been pleased.

And to add to the Hickory Farms excitement, I'm giving away a Party Planner box to one lucky Suburban Turmoil reader! To enter to win, leave a comment on this post between now and Wednesday, December 8th telling me why you'd like to win a Party Planner gift box from Hickory Farms. Be sure to leave your e-mail address in your comment so that I can contact you if you've won. US residents only, please.

Good luck!

Disclosure: I wrote this review while participating in a blog tour by Mom Central Consulting on behalf of Hickory Farms and received two signature gift boxes from Hickory Farms to thank me for taking the time to participate.

It would be great to send this to either my family or the in-laws. We're not doing Christmas gifts this year, since money is so tight, but I still feel guilty over not sending anything at Christmastime...

I have always loved Hickory Farms, especially the summer sausage. As a kid I used to always make excuses to go on the store so I could get free samples. I also like those strawberry candies they put in their gift boxes.

I would love to win this box!!

I would love to win the Hickory Farms box. I have several relatives coming to my house this year and it would be so nice to pull out the meat and cheese slice them up, throw some crackers on a platter and put it out while trying to get the rest of the dinner done.
