Hi Hi!

Wife, Mom, Stepmom...

Breeder.

Email me.

Unless I state otherwise, you can assume I received a free sample of the products that I review on this blog and, sometimes I also receive a gift certificate in exchange for writing an honest review. I've also begun writing sponsored posts here (and ONLY here) from time to time, but only for products that I personally believe in and endorse. Since I only agree to review those products I think I'll like, you'll find that most of these reviews are positive. I will, however, be honest regarding my opinions on reviews I choose to write, whether they are good or bad. Pinky swear.

I offer quite a few giveaways on this site, but if you win, your prize will be sent from the company offering it, not from my home. Consequently, I am not responsible for bad PR reps who mail your prize 4 months late (which happened once) or never mail it at all (which hasn't happened yet, fingers crossed). I have also signed up as an Amazon Affiliate, which means I get a small percentage of any Amazon sale resulting from this site, as opposed to plain old Amazon links, which I've been doing here for years. It's a win-win!

Two lovely stepdaughters,
17 and 15.

One chatty daughter, 4.

One ginormous baby son, born March 2007.

One talented husband.

One noisy beagle.

Feed the Kitty Giveaway!

Feed the Kitty is another great game from Gamewright that I get to give away to one lucky Suburban Turmoil reader!

First, a little about the game.

I have loved playing this particular game with my 5-year-old because it's incredibly simple and fun. You simply roll the dice and, based on where they land, you either take mice out of the kitty's bowl, put them in, or give them to an opponent. The last player left with mice wins.

This game really honed Punky's ability to follow directions. She was able to figure out the symbols on the dice herself in no time and figure out what to do without my help. Something about this game also promotes empathy, because when Punky won she wanted to play again in hopes that I would win. That is not typical!

I love the game because it's simple for me to play with my daughter. I also love how well-made it is- The mice and dice are wooden, not cheap plastic and I really appreciate that. I have HAD MY FILL of cheap, plastic games, thankyouverymuch, and I'm betting you have, too!

All righty then. If you'd like to enter to win this game for a preschooler you know and love, just leave a comment on this post between now and Saturday, November 21st at 11:59pm, CST. Be sure and leave your e-mail address in the comment, so that I can contact you if you've won.

Good luck!

That's so sweet Punky wants to play again so you can win. What an admirable trait! I remember the Candyland video of you Punky playing posted awhile back. Hilarious!
I Love that this game is wood, Very different from 98 percent of the stuff out there.

I love that more toys are going back to being made of wood. I feel it is much healthier for your children (given it is not painted with lead paint.)
