Umi Oh My!

Umi shoes are back for fall and better than ever.

In fact, these shoes are so popular that you have to catch them soon after their seasonal lines are released, because they run out of them very quickly.

Umi generously let me choose a pair of back-to-school shoes for Punky and we went with these boots, which are absolutely marvelous. Not only do they do a LOT to personalize her dreaded Standard School Attire, but my favorite thing about these boots and nearly all of Umi's shoes, as far as I can tell, is that they have rubber soles.

This is a big deal, I've found, in elementary school. The kids have PE and run around a gym and Mary Janes just aren't going to cut it- The PE teacher warned us that girls dress shoes would just make the kids slip and fall. However, Umi Mary Janes with rubber soles?

GOLD.

I've had three years of experience now with Umi shoes and we are absolutely sold on the line.
