Unless I state otherwise, you can assume I received a free sample of the products that I review on this blog and, sometimes I also receive a gift certificate in exchange for writing an honest review. I've also begun writing sponsored posts here from time to time, but only for products that I personally believe in and endorse. Since I only agree to review those products I think I'll like, you'll find that most of these reviews are positive. I will, however, be honest regarding my opinions on reviews I choose to write, whether they are good or bad. Pinky swear.

I offer quite a few giveaways on this site, but if you win, your prize will be sent from the company offering it, not from my home. Consequently, I am not responsible for PR reps who mail your prize 4 months late (which happened once) or never mail it at all (which hasn't happened yet, fingers crossed).

Speed Racer the Next Generation: Comet Run the Movie

Genius move, Speed Racer The Next Generation creators, adding a toy Speed Racer car to the packaging.

As a result, my two-year-old son is completely enthralled by this new movie, Comet Run, and is actually sleeping with the car right now in his crib.

This movie is part of the Speed Racer The Next Generation series that airs on Nickelodeon. The star, Speed, is actually the son of the original Speed Racer, and you know, he looks a lot like him. In Comet Run, "Speed and his friends take on an extraordinary Eco-Car in a pulse-pounding 3-day race to win the deeds to a trillion dollar company."

I enjoyed watching Comet Run with my son; the series has a bit of a Scooby Doo feel to it, and I love that it's environmentally friendly. It made me giggle that the villain in the movie was a car manufacturer who'd just debuted an enormous, gasoline sucking SUV. Heh.

If your son loves cars as much as mine, chances are he will be thrilled with this DVD, not to mention the toy car that's included. The whole package is just $10.99 on Amazon right now. Check it out.
